In this work area we definitely will build further on off solutions through agro-tourism, staying with farmers and farmer communities in several destinations. Our agro-tourism places the farmers organizations in the picture and give them a possibility to establish farmer led tour operators as an independent business and service to their members with attractions of touristic importance to exploit.
Agro-tourism is an area which we have already been developing with great success for several years now. Excellent results have been obtained in Ecuador, but plans are also in development also in Kenya, Nicaragua, Madagascar, Costa Rica and Brazil. By 2010, 7 travel destinations will have been developed and included in travel agency brochures. (...less...) |
