Tusoco is a network of rural/indigenous community-based tourism initiatives in Bolivia, and represents 18 different regions. CIOEC, one of the main farmers’ organisations in Bolivia and partner of Agriterra, is main founder of TUSOCO. Established in 2005, TUSOCO represents the interests of community based tourism initiatives and wants to deliver services to enhance development and strengthening of member organisations.

Most important components of the plan 2008 and 2009 for Tusoco are:
1. Representation at local and national level.
2. Institutional and commercial promotion at (inter)national level
3. Strengthening and integration of the associates

The project will result in:
1. Consolidation of organisation and membership, political involvement and influence in local, regional and national politics, institutional policy for reflection and analysis of tourism and improvement of Tusoco's labour capacity.
2. Formal and institutional consolidation of Tusoco, local and national acquaintance, development and promotion of tourist routes and circuits, promotion of tourist products on (inter)national fairs and start of process to open a commercial office.
3. Strenghtening national presence by integrating new member communities, strengthening the associates and their organisations, tecnical (legal and tax consultancy) assistance to the members, quality improvement of service of Tusoco's members and improving communication structures.

Important activities will be;
1. Define (potential) members, directory and general meetings, participation in political meetings, arrange follow up within government bodies, organize a national communtity tourism forum and participate in other tourism events, leadership workshops and capacititation of the members and Tusoco personell.
2. Internal regulations and control workshops, elaborating a 5 year strategic plan, commercial representation in La Paz, webpage maintenance, bulletin and radio promotion, workshops to develop and commercialise new tours, feasibility study to start a commercial office and agreements with touroperators.
3. Visit and judge potential members, realise regional meetings to strengthen policy and organization of the associates, monitoring and evaluation of the associates, organise workshops for gastronomy, hotel business and sustainable use of resources, create micro funds for sustainable services of members, meetings to exchange experiences, workshops to improve design of promotion material and developing an information and communication system, spreading contact information to acquire finance.
